বাংলায় হাবসি শাসন মাত্র ছয় বছর(১৪৮৭-১৪৯৩ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ) স্থায়ী ছিল। এ সময় এদেশের ইতিহাস ছিল অন্যায়, অবিচার, বিদ্রোহ, ষড়যন্ত্র আর হতাশায় পরিপূর্ণ। এ সময়ে চারজন হাবসি সুলতানের মধ্যে তিনজনকেই হত্যা করা হয়।
হাবসি নেতা সুলতান শাহজাদা বরবক শাহ’ উপাধি নিয়ে প্রথম বাংলার ক্ষমতায় বসেন। কিন্তু কয়েক মাসের মধ্যেই তিনি হাবসি সেনাপতি মালিক আন্দিলের হাতে নিহত হন। মালিক আন্দিল সাইফুদ্দিন ফিরুজ শাহ’ উপাধি নিয়ে সিংহাসনে বসেন। একমাত্র তার তিন বছরের রাজত্বকালের (১৪৮৭-১৪৯০ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ) ইতিহাসই কিছুটা গৌরবময় ছিল। তাঁর মৃত্যুর পর ক্ষমতায় আসেন দ্বিতীয় নাসিরউদ্দিন মাহমুদ শাহ। কিন্তু
কিছুকাল (১৪৯০-১৪৯১ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ) রাজত্ব করার পরই তিনি নিহত হন। এক হাবসি সর্দার তাঁকে হত্যা করে ‘শামসুদ্দিন মুজাফফর শাহ’ নাম নিয়ে সিংহাসনে বসেন (১৪৯১-১৪৯৩ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ)। অত্যাচারী ও হত্যাকারী হিসেবে তার খ্যাতি ছিল। ফলে গৌড়ের সম্রান্ত লােকেরা মুজাফফর শাহের বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করে। বিদ্রোহীদের সাথে যােগ দেন মুজাফফর শাহের উজির সৈয়দ হােসেন। অবশেষে মুজাফফর শাহ নিহত হন। তার মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই বাংলায় হাবসি শাসনের অবসান ঘটে।
The Habshi rule in Bengal lasted only six years (1487A.D.-1493 A.D.). The history of this country during this period abounds with wrongs, injustice, revolt, conspiracy and disappointment. All the three of the four Habshi Sultans of this period were murdered. Habshi leader Sultan Shahzada adopted the title 'Barbak Shah' and began to rule Bengal first. But within a few months, he was killed by Habshi commander-in-chief Malik Anctil. Malik Andil assumed the title 'Saifuddin Firuz Shah' and came to the throne. Only his three years reign (1487A.D.-1490 A.D.) was a little pre-eminent in history.
His death was followed by Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah II. But after a short rule (1490 A.D.-1491 A.D.), he was killed. A Habshi leader killed him and came to the throne with the name 'Shamsuddin Muzaffar Shah' (1491 A.D.-1493 A.D.). He was notorious as a tyrant and killer. Consequently, the aristocrats of Gaur revolted against Muzaffar Shah. Sayed Hossain, an adviser to Muzaffar Shah joined the rebels. At last Muzaffar Shah was killed. With his death, the Habshi rule in Bengal ended.
